But, there won’t be any sadness on this night as the show is a fun-filled rock’n’roll extravaganza that will have you singing and dancing in the aisles. Zachary Stevenson is not just another impersonator… he was the leading actor-musician cast in the musical “Buddy” that sold out for over two months at Vancouver’s Stanley Theatre last year. Stevenson presents Buddy Holly so perfectly that we seem to be watching a genuine replica of the nerdy young Texan whose meteoric rise and sudden death have become legendary fodder for all of us rock’n’rollers of a certain age. Stevenson has the guitar licks down to a “t” and his superb vocals make him equally comfortable with the sweet ballads or on-the-edge rock-a-billy songs and everything in between… including Holly’s trademark hiccup and energetic dance moves that often brings the audience to their feet.
